Finance in Motion is an alternative asset management firm exclusively focused on sustainable development finance. On behalf of public and private investors as well as international financial institutions, we develop and advise alternative investment vehicles. The company covers a broad spectrum of development finance, including energy efficiency (EE), renewable energy (RE), microfinance, and the facilitation of employment generation through the financing of small and medium enterprises. We manage Funds of approx. EUR 850 Mio. in 26 countries in Southeast Europe, Eastern Europe and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), including debt, equity and technical assistance projects in the financial and corporate sector. Our international team of 90 employees is located in Frankfurt and several regional offices in South East and Eastern Europe and the MENA region.
Finance in Motion GmbH is currently looking for Analyst and Senior Professional/Banker with a development finance orientation to be based in Kyiv and to support (corresponding to the level of seniority) the Investment Management team in the following areas:
• Origination, structuring and negotiation of debt investments in financial institutions for the benefit of Micro and SME or EE and RE finance
• On- and off-site due diligence and monitoring of financial institutions (banks and non-bank financial institutions such as MFIs) and portfolios
• Monitoring/analysis of key market and economic developments in Ukraine and other countries of operation
• Monitoring of financial sector regulatory and supervisory framework and policy
• Internal and external reporting regarding investment portfolio and development of the Funds
• Identifying institution building/technical assistance needs for financial institutions or market participants in the area of micro and SME as well as EE and RE finance and developing concepts and designs for the respective measures
• Targeted policy dialogue with relevant stakeholders
• Advancing responsible finance in countries of operations through respective dialogue, investment structuring, workshops and initiatives
Qualifications:
• Experience in lending to financial institutions and portfolio responsibility is a strong asset
• Extensive knowledge of development finance, including Micro/SME finance and/or EE/RE finance
• Excellent working knowledge and practical application of IAS/IFRS
• Knowledge of the NBU regulatory framework
• Degree in economics, business administration, development finance, or a related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Russian/Ukrainian
• Strong analytical, writing and presentation skills enhanced by intercultural skills and sensitivities
• International experience through professional assignments |
