I have experience in installation and consulting engagements both as a banker and technologist, and have functional specialisation in Risk Management system but specifically: Acceptance System (for consumer lending), Financial/Risk Software Implementation. In addition to some project management skills, I have gained an insight into large IT systems and technology architecture, mainly in the areas of databases (SQL, Oracle) data warehouses. Whilst not being an IT professional or developer, I can interact with IT technical to bridge the gap for business functional areas; write query on databases etc and obviously have advanced PC skills like Excel, networks and databases.
I worked in big international financial institution on start – up period (starting from the business plan preparation) before main staff hired, and so understand the internal processes on which workflow is based.
My main area of expertise is risk management and IT specification, but I have managed different kind of reporting, physically implemented risk management software, project managed, both as a banker and technologist, bug tracking and monitoring system.
I have excellent oral and written communication skills to interact with a range of disciplines and levels within organisations. Project management was an essential part of my roles
Main duties: Implementation of risk policies including underwriting and fraud detection process. Adaptation and developing score frames for consumer lending products (car and PoS loans, credit cards, open line).
Production and development of Risk daily, weekly and monthly reports.
Identification, creation and monitoring key risk indicators. Carrying out internal process reviews. Raise awareness of operational risk and provide support and guidance to business units. Challenge operational risk information and make recommendations to the business to mitigate risk.
Interaction with business units and all levels of management. Responsible and accountable for risk measurement methodology. Highlights: The successful implementation of the core risk methodologies. Introduction of credit scoring as part of the partial automation of the Risk decision-making process. Key risk resource in an end to end sales process review project delivering major components within the overall solution including tactical changes to acceptance strategy for specific customer groups and developing a risk adjusted customer targeting solution to support and improve the efficiency in converting leads into new business. Develop the risk cross selling strategies to expand Credit Cards, Sales Finance and Personal Installment Loans customer base. Achieved aggressive service level targets for key Vendor partners resulting in high levels of customer satisfaction, without compromising credit quality.
