Under the general guidance and direction of the Chief Financial Controller, carries out preparation of
financial statements and relevant administrative instructions. Duties and responsibilities include, inter alia,
Transformation of financial statements from local GAAP to IFRS.
Prepare and/or review respective underlying data prior to be included to financial statements under
IFRS framework, and when necessary request clarifications and additional information from the
offices. Ensure that reports are complete and accurate.
Prepare and/or review a variety of financials-related documents, communications, guidelines
Participation in preparation of financial statements under IFRS framework.
Participation in preparation of financial statements under established group reporting policies
Participation in preparation of consolidated financial statements.
Provide direction and guidance to more junior staff.
Perform other duties, as directed by the CFO and/or the CFC.
Professionalism - Strong theoretical background and substantive experience in IFRS accounts and statutory banking accounts. Strong analytical skills and working knowledge of restatement techniques. Sound judgement in applying technical expertise to resolve a range of issues/problems. Ability to provide technical guidance to new/junior staff.
Planning and Organising - Ability to plan work assignments, juggle competing demands and work under pressure of frequent and tight deadlines. Ability to deliver outputs for which one has responsibility within the prescribed time, cost and quality standards, being conscientious in meeting commitments and achieving results.
Communications - Good communication (spoken and written) skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences on financials-related matters and prepare a variety of written documents, reports, etc. in a clear, concise style.
Technology Awareness - Good computer skills, including proficiency in spreadsheet, database management and Internet applications.
Teamwork - Very good interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with people.
